Alex has more than 20 years of yoga and wellness experience. She decided to launch her wellness career in California after being immersed in the busy fashion scene in London. Alex relocated to Laguna Beach and followed her passion by launching Ascend Wellness Coaching. Alex trained at Yoga Works with the world-renowned teachers, completing over 500 hours of YTT that covered Asana, Mediation, Pranyama, Restorative Yoga, Pre-Natal and Yoga for Chronic Pain. Alex teaches corporate, private and yoga for recovery to a range of clients. She is the lead teacher at the Waldorf Astoria Spa in Dana Point, California.
Feelings led her to continue on with the healing journey. Alex studied Reiki 1 and 2, and she offers Reiki healing, in-person and long-distance, to clients internationally. Her path led Alex into a life coaching career. She studied at WCI and is currently working with clients to find purpose in life through coaching in wellness and general life coaching. Alex enables clients to move forward in life with passion and purpose, giving them the tools needed to process and be true to their inner needs. Alex is dedicated to her clients’ well-being and is inspired to heal and restore, emotionally and physically, and for her clients to experience peace, love and joy at a greater level.
Alex offers classes privately, for groups, in person and online, focusing on the wellbeing of the client and their specific needs. Whether you are a beginner or you want to step into a specific routine and get the full studio experience at home or in-person. A variety of classes are available including, Vinyasa Flow, Hatha Yoga, Restorative Yoga and an Introduction to Inversions, Pre-Natal Yoga, Chakra Flow and Yoga Modifications for Injuries. Alex also offers a series of Mini Yoga Lab’s to target various transitions and poses that need breaking down individually. Each class has an element of breath work and mediation to enable the client to fully experience the mind-body connection.
Alex is focused and committed to the growth of her students, connecting individuals to the practice through intelligent and informed sequencing. She is compassionate in offering intentional adjustments and relevant alignment instruction.
Alex’s teaching is designed to give students the tools and techniques to access their own unique body’s needs, create new connections and continue to find the center of themselves each time they step on their mats.
Expect to build strength, balance and flexibility and learn to restore the nervous system with this ancient practice. Prepare to let go, reflect and settle in for restorative classes where you will need various props, which we will advise you of before class.
Through a combination of classes and yoga, we will give you the tools to be more present, mindful and focused in your life. Prepare to wake up from the inside out as you explore topics such as compassion, truth, gratitude and moderation. You’ll learn what it means to truly let go by applying what you have learned on your mat, in a concrete way, to deal better with lessons in life.
